Argentinian Fabian Ortiz (GPI#942) was the Main Event winner, defeating Mexican Guillermo Olvera heads-up and taking home the $143,930 top prize for his second ever victory on the Latin American Poker Tour. Oritz won the LAPT Chile Main Event for $141,426 back in January 2009.

Ortiz enjoyed a deep run last year in the World Series of Poker Main Event, collecting $357,655 for his 17th place finish, his best cash on the live tournament circut.

This was Ortiz’s 2nd win 13th career cash on the circuit. He is getting close to the $1M mark in live career earnings, his latest victory see his career totals move to $895,664.
