Doctor Andrew Bell from the University of Sheffield used statistical analysis to work out who the sport’s most accomplished competitor is - looking at who is the best driver because of their talent rather than because they have a good car. Without considering the impact of his team, the greatest driver of all time in terms of most race wins is Michael Schumacher. But the study found that once the effect of his team is removed, legendary racer Fangio claims the top spot, followed by Alain Prost in second and Fernando Alonso in third position....

Vettel finished above everyone in the Qualifying round as the fastest driver on the day. Behind him were the two Finnish drivers (Bottas & Raikkonen) in 2nd and 3rd places. The trek toward launching Fable Fortune has been long and difficult for Flaming Fowl’s team of ex-Lionhead developers. Originally announced as a Kickstarter project back in 2016, Fable Fortune was pitched to backers as a free-to-play collectible card game similar to Hearthstone, but with its own set of unique features such as a cooperative mode, leveling-up frequently used cards, and a morality alignment system that would affect how certain cards worked....

Juan Fernandez, Fable’s former combat designer, says that Fable’s development has been slow so far for the reason that fans would expect: Playground simply doesn’t have much inherent experience with RPGs. Playground’s claim to fame is the Forza Horizon line of racing games, which are consistently well-received, but they’re obviously completely different from a fantasy RPG like Fable. Fernandez suggests that Playground is optimistic and ambitious in spite of the slow pace, however, which is a great sign for Playground’s future....

Follower numbers for the New York Times, Washington Post, Huffington Post, The Hill, USA Today, New York Post and Newsweek all reduced on October 3 and 4, according to data from analytics platform CrowdTangle. USA Today suffered the biggest fall, losing 13,723 followers on Monday and 11,392 on Tuesday. The New York Times lost 6,225 followers on Monday and 4,944 on Tuesday. On Monday the New York Post lost 8,200 followers, with another 4,378 going the following day....

Early on in Formula 1’s Bahrain Grand Prix, Haas F1 driver Romain Grosjean escaped from a fiery wreck with just minor injuries. Grosjean, presumably not seeing fellow driver Daniil Kvyat in his side-view mirror, slid across the track, contacting Kvyat’s car. He went careening off the track into the barricade. The result was nearly fatal: Grosjean’s car split in half, with flames engulfing the car. Per Sky Sports’ broadcast, Grosjean sustained only minor burns on his hands and ankles, and also a possible broken rib....

Ferrari team chief Stefano Domenicali believes Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen are now a major threat to Fernando Alonso’s hopes of winning a third world championship. Although Spaniard Alonso of Ferrari extended his lead in the drivers’ title race after finishing third in Sunday’s Italian Grand Prix, Domenicali admitted he was wary of the threat posed by both drivers. Briton Hamilton, champion in 2008, secured McLaren’s third win on the bounce moving him to second in the standings, while Finn Raikkonen of Lotus finished fifth bumping him up to third....

The Fable game series has been in a number of different hands over the years, starting with Big Blue Box which worked on the first game in the franchise. Xbox Game Studios has always been the publisher, but the job of developing the next few games was handed off to Lionhead Studios, who then worked on the Fable games from 2005 to 2016 before being replaced by Flaming Fowl Studios in 2017....

Guy Rosen, VP of integrity at the company, spoke highly of Facebook’s ongoing efforts after analysis was released by the European Commission on Tuesday, showing how the platform’s enforcement was comparing to YouTube and Twitter. The findings were based on a study of hate speech notifications during a period of six weeks, between November 4 and December 13, officials said. Facebook defines hate speech as an attack on people based race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, orientation, sex, gender identity and serious disease or disability....
